“Dog of the Year” Fundraiser

Parvin State Park, on the
edge of the Pine Barrens, in Pittsgrove Township, near Centerton, New Jersey,
was the site for the Annual CCSPCA Pet Walk, on Sunday April 29th. This was originally scheduled for Sunday April 22, but that date was rained out. Parvin State Park, has a very nice lake and
provides camping sites as well as facilities for swimming and picnicking. It has been used in the past as a home for
the Civilian Conservation Corps, a camp for displaced Japanese children and
even a Prisoner of War camp for German prisoners in 1944. Today it is for recreational enjoyment. When I was there it seemed they were putting
down new sand for the beach.

There was a very nice turnout
for the Pet Walk and I had the chance to meet lots of nice people and their
dogs. It was also a chance to meet my
competition in the “Dog of the Year” fundraiser. I think my biggest competition is going to be
a dog named “Webby”, I guess I kind of challenged him when we met and his daddy
is all fired up to greater heights. Now I really need your vote. My
“D” says “bring it on”. There were
prizes and refreshments at the park and everyone seemed to be enjoying
themselves. I was passing out kisses to
entice votes. My “D” even got a massage.

During the event my “D”
picked up some donation boxes and spent Monday distributing them to the
businesses, who were willing to display them on their counter tops. Be sure and look for the cute little dog
house donation box with my cute little face and sponsors name, when
visiting, Tripple Oaks Nursery, The
Neptune Restaurant, Kris Kennel Kuts and Bob’s Little Sport Shop. Be sure my picture is on the box or the vote will not go to me. All Donations go 100% to the care of the animals at the SPCA in Vineland. The votes by donation go to me to win "Dog of the Year" Please vote for me.

scheduled is Saturday May 5, 2012 at the Eco Fest at Wheaton Arts in
